Russell's Reserve Single Rickhouse has launched its first edition, the Single Rickhouse Camp Nelson C, featuring only 72 barrels from the seven-story Rickhouse of the same name, which has now been dismantled. Built in 1946 and retired in 2021, the Camp Nelson C Rickhouse had become a cherished asset of the Wild Turkey Distilling Co. Situated on a hilltop and overlooking the Kentucky River, the structure was built from timber and was clad with tin to regulate the internal temperature naturally, with ample space for air circulation that enabled the barrels to breathe during the aging process. Eddie Russell, the master distiller of Russell's Reserve, selected the barrels for this exclusive edition from the center-cut, which is considered the most desirable section, on floors three and four of the Rickhouse.
