Production Notes
The majority of our 2020 Pinot Noir came from estate vineyards in Lodi, CA with the balance cultivated in our River Junction appellation. The grapes for our 2020 Pinot Noir were harvested in August and September, with an average Brix of 25.1. After fermenting on the skins for 6-9 days, the must was pressed and the resulting wine finished fermentation in Stainless Steel tanks. The wine then received the equivalent of approximately 6 months of aging in French and American Oak barrels.
Winemaker Notes
Our 2020 Pinot Noir is light purple in color and is bursting with aroma and flavor, leading with ripe red cherry, strawberry cream, and raspberry notes. The wine is silky on the palate with red fruit and vanilla undertones, culminating in a clean, lasting finish.
Other Notes
Blend: Our blend is predominantly Pinot Noir with a small amount of Petit Verdot and Teroldego added in for texture & color.
