Winemaker's Notes
With a light straw color, the 2014 vintage opens with the soft aromas of melon and white peach, with an underlying note of pantry spice. On the palate, this wine offers a flinty first impression, evoking the freshness of summer rain hitting pavement. An initial tartness quickly dissipates, yielding to the wine's minerality. Lean but with a fleshy fruit body, this wine remains dry and maintains interest with a lingering lime citrus finish.

Wilfred Wong of Wine.com - "If some of the best things in life are quiet and subtle, then the 2014 Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc fits as good as it gets. While the big and boisterous has traditionally gotten all of the good press, I am happy to make a case for the opposite. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with powerful and demonstrative wines, but elegance often let my favorite foods shine. I think I will order the seared scallops please Light straw color; understated dried straw aroma, fine example of the varietal, medium depth, quite youthful; medium bodied, textured on the palate; dry, medium acidity, well balanced; smooth peach skin flavors with melon and light herbs, focused and fine; medium finish.
